Autumn Budget – New tax thresholds from April 2019

The Chancellor has announced in the Autumn Budget that from April 2019 the National Living Wage for those aged 25 and over will rise to £8.21 per hour. This might effect your pay as an employee, or indeed might effect what you pay your employee if you are an employer.
The National Minimum Wage will also increase to :

21-24 year olds – £7.70 per hour
18-20 year olds – £6.15 per hour
16 & 17 year olds – £4.35 per hour
Apprentices – £3.90 per hour

The personal allowance (what pay you are allowed to earn before incurring tax) will be £12,500 from April 2019.

The accommodation offset, will rise to £7.55
